The Honda Rebel 1100 (2021+) in the real world
The Rebel 1100 keeps the blacked-out Rebel look but grows into a full-size motorcycle underneath, and the ergonomics grow with it. The seat still sits low at 700 mm, so the ground reach that made the small Rebels famous largely carries over — most riders still get a confident flat foot down at the lights. What changes is the room around it: a longer wheelbase and a bigger machine give your legs more space than the 300 and 500 ever offered.
The posture is relaxed-upright cruiser rather than laid-back chopper. The bar is wide and pulled back, the pegs are mid-mounted and only slightly forward, so you sit fairly neutral with a gentle bend at hip and knee — closer to a standard than the feet-way-forward stance some cruisers force. That mid-mount arrangement is the reason taller riders tend to get on better with the 1100 than the little Rebels: knees aren’t jammed as high. Note this is the non-LAMS model — its 1084 cc twin sits outside learner-approved limits, so it’s a full-licence bike.
